HOYAVISION - HSPNWeek 1 of broadcasting is in the books and we now have an idea of what we still need to work on - which is why we have this class, to learn from what worked and what didn't. Week 2 opens up with Blue Crew's broadcast on Monday, followed by HSPN on Wednesday, and Blue Crew HoyaVision on Friday. Let's get this! We are actively taking applications for next semester's HoyaVision. If you would like to join the crew, please be sure to complete and submit your application. AVTF-2 PER 2This week we'll be finalizing our pre-production for our instructional video about the popular cables, connectors, and data delivery protocols. Our goal is to research, understand, and communicate what these items are and where they will be used. AVTF-1 PER 3Now that we've gotten to know our cameras better and how to use them through our Scavenger Hunt and 5 minute Challenge, we'll be learning how we can use the clips to tell stories and inform our audiences using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. We'll become familiar with the layout, the critical workflow of making videos, and make some simple videos. We will have a Premiere Pro Basics vocab quiz on Friday. Here's the Quizlet Study Guide link to the vocab: PREMIERE PRO BASICS VOCAB QUIZLET STUDY GUIDE AVTF-3 PER 4Hoping to wrap up the remainder of the CTAE Pathway Commercials. We are starting to run them on our HoyaVision - HSPN broadcasts.
We will also start to prepare for our End Of Pathway Assessment (EOPA) Lastly, in between videos for the school, I will be developing periodic video challenges to continue to hone our skills.

END OF PATHWAY ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE EOPA Administration - April 22-23, 2020 EOPA Make-up Administration - April 24, 2020 EOPA Re-take Administration – May 7, 2020 (after school) This is for all students who have taken AVTF-1, AVTF-2 and are now taking either AVTF-3 or HoyaVision/HSPN. These are two different pathway assessments. Compared to previous years, these are a bit early, so we'll need to start prepping a bit sooner. hoyavision - hspnIT'S SHOW TIME! HSPN leads off the semester's broadcast schedule with their show on Wednesday. Green Crew starts with their first HoyaVision of the semester this Friday. Please share the link to the live shows and archives with family and friends: https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/harrison-high-school-kennesaw-ga Shows will be archived on our YouTube Channel: HoyaVision TV avtf-2 per 2We'll continue with our simple film scene filming Tuesday and Wednesday. We're starting to get an appreciation for all that film crews go through to record a movie. Once the cover shots and insert shots are complete and everyone has edited their dailies, each group will put together a sequence of the best takes of each shot. After that, I'm changing it up a little and we'll put our experience of filming at different angles to use as we create an informational video about CABLES, CONNECTORS and TRANSFER PROTOCOLS. This project will take about a week and a half to complete. AVTF-1 PER 3This week we'll be learning to use our cameras more with a Video Scavenger Hunt. This will test your skills handling the camera as well as challenge you to film from angles you may not have thought of before! We'll create one more Adobe Spark Video with these shots. No vocab quiz this week! Next week, we look to introduce the basics of editing with Premiere Pro CC. avtf-3 per 4This week we'll look to wrap up, where possible, the commercials for the Career Tech Pathways. Please remember, even for the fun ones, we're looking for REALLY GOOD footage and technique. Please be very picky with the details.
