AVTF-1 PER 2 & 3This week we will be completing our Camera Motion Videos on Monday. We'll review the Camera Movement, Editing, & Transitions vocab on Monday and Tuesday, taking the quiz on Tuesday. EDITING, TRANSITIONS, & CAMERA MOVEMENT VOCAB Now that we've learned about cameras & framing/shot composition (Production), how to edit those shots (Post-Production), we'll begin learning about the visualizing & planning for the production - Pre-Production. This week we'll be learning about storyboarding and practicing that by storyboarding, filming and editing a :15 - :30 second commercial this week. AVTF-3 PER 4This week we'll be finalizing our revised pitches and writing the proposal for our next videos. To add authenticity to the project, I would like for you to identify the agency, non-profit, etc. that the video is benefiting as we will be submitting your proposal to them for review & commentary. We'll be paying close attention to the format, and writing of the proposals. For the graded version (to me), please include the cost estimates. Do NOT include the cost estimates when preparing the proposal for the "customer".
Once the pitch is completed, you will develop a storyboard and proposed script for your video. Once that is approved, you'll begin filming.

Congratulations to Coach Lenahan and team, including our own HSPN Producer & Director - Hannah DeWitt and Caroline Hobson. On to the State Championship! EVERYONEIt's the last week before our Winter Break - and also the last week of the grading period. PLEASE BE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ASSIGNMENTS IN CLASS NOTEBOOK AND FLIPGRID TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE TURNED IN!! HARRISON TODAY - HSPN - HOYAVISIONKudos to Friday's crew for their flexibility in finding a way to post their show. It points out a couple of key points: 1. What are your alternative plans if something goes wrong - with segments or technology? 2. We should probably check the technology aspect of our shows much earlier so we can react in time. Great lessons learned! This week, in addition to our weekly broadcasts, on Wednesday we'll be going over the basics of the TriCaster and the workflow. HARRISON TODAY - you should be reviewing all the news from all available sources to develop your week in review section of your script. AVTF-1 PER. 2 & 3We've used last week to practice our skills with the camera and editing on Premiere Pro. This week we'll continue to learn more about what we can do using planned camera motion to help tell the story and make your videos more interesting to watch. We'll also learn more about transitions - changing from one scene to the next, what the different types mean and how to do them with the camera and in post (when editing).
We'll have a vocab quiz on EDITING, TRANSITIONS, CAMERA MOVEMENTS on Friday. Here's the link to the Quizlet study guide: EDITING, TRANSITIONS, CAMERA MOVEMENTS To help with our editing and camera work skills and demonstrate our understanding of the transitions we'll be doing a couple of exercises: 1. Revisiting the commercial of last week and look at the various opportunities for inserting the proper transitions in the commercial and re-submitting as (per)-(FILASTNAME)-COMMTRANS CONGRATULATIONS |
