WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!I hope you all had a fun, yet restful week off. It's hard not to with temps in the mid-70's for some of it. GRADES: I've gone through all the Class Notebooks and uploaded videos and graded all that was current. If late work was submitted after the 3 day grace period, that did not change the grade. Keep in mind a couple of things: 1. Stay on top of the weekly assignments. You have time in class to complete them, so use your time wisely! 2. Be sure to submit your video projects to the GaShare Drop Box. That's where I grade from. If you're not sure how to do that still, please ask. 3. This is just a snapshot of where you're at now. There are 12 more weeks of school left, so you have time to affect your grade. AVTF - 2 & 3AFTER EFFECTS - CONTINUED: Now that we have been introduced to After Effects and motion key frames in last week's exercise, I want you to create a text title AND have it track to a video. For this exercise, I'd like for you to create a 5 second motion tracking title for one of the following:
https://youtu.be/xXRQ6fqEKfE I've copied it to this location as well: MOTION TRACKING TEXT IN AFTER EFFECTS The project is due on Tuesday. You'll create another 7 second 3D Motion Tracked title of your choosing that will be due by Thursday. Lastly, I'd like for you to create a lesson to share with the class about another effect that we can use in our projects. Find an effect - different than what we've covered, learn it and put together your own training video showing the effect on something you've done and then walking us through how to do it one step at a time complete with voice over. This will be due next week My goal is to have you feeling familiar and somewhat comfortable with After Effects and some of the cool things. AVTF-1This week we are going to continue to practice our skills with the camera and editing. We will be working on our story telling skills. First in groups of 1 - 4, you will make a 15 - 30 second commercial about something real. You will use the product to solve a problem (conflict), thereby showing why we should buy it. This will be due by Thursday.
To help tell the story, we will learn more about story telling and the various other framing angles and how/why they are used to help tell a story. On Thursday, we'll challenge you with a solo project. Details to be announced then. :-) |
