1. Do you want to be part of a radio show AND earn Community Service hours? Help us with the Georgia Public Broadcasting's Radio show by teenagers for visually impaired teenagers. If interested, please complete the short interest form: RADIO INTEREST FORM We will be holding an interest meeting after school on Tuesday, in the Media Bldg at 3:45. 2. SkillsUSA begins on Thursday morning with a breakfast meeting from 7:40 - 8:10. We'll be talking about Community Service projects, interest in participating on the leadership committee, contests and opening up our T-shirt design contest. Applications are available in all 3. Interested in the broadcast industry? Be sure to keep mid-day of Saturday, Sept. 19 available to attend the 2015 Media Day. Here's the link to more information and registration. If Audio/Music Production is more up your alley, there is a day long Student Seminar, put on by the Audio Engineering Society - Atlanta Chapter. This event is held at Turner Studios with presenters who have worked some top music artists. Here's the link to register. AES ATLANTA STUDENT WORKSHOP Seating is limited and there is a fee, so be sure to check with your parents. AVTF-1: Now that we've learned the basics of navigating Premiere Pro, we'll be looking at camera movement and planned editing such as cutting on the action and using the pen tool to pinpoint specific places to lower volume (and opacity). We will be having a vocab quiz on EDITING, TRANSITIONS, & CAMERA MOVEMENTS. AVTF-3: We will be reviewing our status for the EOPA and beginning to create a:15 - :30 second promo video for each our Sports at Harrison - beginning with our Fall Sports. Just a couple of quick mid-week reminders: ALL: 1. Anyone interested in working on the GPB's Radio group, please fill out the form below. We've been asked if we wanted to produce a monthly, 58 minute radio show - by teens for teens...who happen to be blind. This would be a "club-like" activity and would probably meet on Mondays after school for production & post-production.
