I hope you were all able to enjoy the Thanksgiving Break with family and friends. I'm writing this prior to the Bills playing today, however Tech did win (between the hedges, I might add) and I did spend some quality time with my family - including my grandkids, so Monday should be a good day! EVERYONE
NOTE: HOYA BLOCK IS OVER FOR THE SEMESTER, WE ARE FOLLOWING THE ADVISEMENT SCHEDULE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEMESTER.
We're moving into the final stretch, and everything counts, so please be sure to use your class time wisely and stay on top of things. We all have the following Weekly Assignments: 1. Journal Entry - in the Class Notebook (see the link in the right sidebar for your ClassNotebook). It is due by Friday The log in is still: [email protected] P/W: school network password Please create a new page, labelled with the WEEK ENDING DATE (i.e. WE 12/02/16). Please be sure to answer all 5 questions (they're 20 pts. ea., and keep it relevant to your involvement in the class. Make sure you're learning something - that's on you. 2. Blog Entry: Please continue to watch the broadcasts and comment on this blog using the following format: Acknowledge one positive aspect of a segment of the show Build on it by making it personal - how did that segment affect you or affect your peer Continue the conversation by asking an open-ended question. We all have our PORTFOLIO WEBSITES that are due next Friday. The rubric and required sections are listed in the right side-bar. Please be sure that each segment is a different page. On Wednesday, we will be hosting a Skype session with Mr. Carlo Finlay of UGA's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The program is in the Top 10 programs in the country. Mr. Finlay has graciously agreed to be on my Advisory Committee and help guide those seriously considering UGA, especially Grady College and Sports Broadcasting, as to what they can do to better their chances of getting in. He's also open to reviewing your Portfolio websites and provide feedback to those that are seriously considering applying to UGA and Grady College. The topics will include:
