HOYA AVTF: BUSY ON BREAK!EVERYONEWelcome back! I hope you were able to enjoy the break with family and friends. I worked a good portion of it with past and present students. They represented themselves, Harrison and the AVTF program very well! Now is the time to get focused and use your time wisely. Your final projects are due in 4 weeks. Please take them seriously and do something on them everyday. They are worth 35% of your entire grade. Speaking of final projects, we should also be looking to produce/identify at least four of your best clips for your reel. HOYAVISION/HSPN Please be sure to spend time on your pitch – do the research first, THEN write the pitch – then produce the pitch. Producers and Directors, please plan out and your remaining shows and complete the rundowns. Focus on graphics for those stories that do not have a segment associated with them – especially for HARRISON TODAY. For those taking the EOPA, we’ll be reviewing the SkillsUSA test material in earnest this week as well. AVTF-2I’ve made comments on your proposals in the Class Notebooks. Please address them and make the corrections. I would like to see the preliminary footage to make sure it’s along the lines of what I’m looking for. I'd like to review your first draft of the video by Wednesday so we can make any necessary adjustments before submitting the final version. Please make sure to review the requirements for your MINI-DOCUMENTARY and it’s proposal. It’s worth 35% of your grade! AVTF-1This week we’ll be wrapping up our Foley Project. I can’t wait to see (hear) what you create for this project! I’ll be looking to introduce the Broadcast unit this week as well. We’ll be wrapping up the semester with this unit – ultimately producing our own 12-15 minute show. Please spend ANY free time on the pre-production, especially the storyboard as that can be used not only for filming, but for guidance on editing. AVTF-3This week, we are working on our final projects and in-depth preparation for our NOCTI EOPA.
