Good morning all!
I hope you were able to enjoy the long weekend. After Friday night's rain, the weather could not have been better. We had another amazing week last week: Here's a quick look at what was happening with Harrison's AVTF program:
As we wrap up our 6th week, we all need to start preparing our Portfolio Website. This is a professional, working, and "living" site that should be used for job and college applications. Here's the link to the project description:
ONLINE PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO DESCRIPTION & DUE DATES This is a summative project - in addition to any other final projects and will be graded as such. Please treat it accordingly.
HARRISON TODAY - HoyaVision - HSPN
We had some really good shows this week. Lots of positive feedback. We'll now look to tighten up the broadcast itself. We ran 2 - 4 minutes over with both HSPN & HoyaVision. We'll be focusing on the rundown and managing the show to that to keep things moving and on time. Please make sure it's filled out for September and timings for this week and next. To help us create better videos, I want to make sure that we know how to control our cameras. This is a mandatory assignment for all Technical crew members, including Directors. CANON XA-10 SKILLS CHECKLIST This is located in the Class Notebook and is to be completed in your Class Notebook. It will be due next week Wednesday, 09/14/16. AVTF-1 We'll be building on our camera and editing skills this week. Learning to get more than one angle of the same shot and editing the clips. Practice, Practice, Practice. I'll be using this as an opportunity to check your camera skills as well, so please be ready. We'll also start our portfolio websites - see above. AVTF-2 We should be wrapping up our AVTF Promotional Videos this week and prepared to export by end of class on Friday. Please re-check all elements (pre-production, production, & post-production) to make sure they are public worthy. They will be shared with your names on them. In addition to the promo video, we'll be working on our camera skills. Here's a checklist of skills that you should master with the new cameras. CANON XA-10 SKILLS CHECKLIST This is located in the Class Notebook and is to be completed in your Class Notebook. It will be due next week Wednesday, 09/14/16. We'll be combining the camera skills with some more in-depth look at Premiere next week. We'll also start our portfolio websites - see above.
