HELLO EVERYONE!Boy that loss of an hour's sleep is a tough one! ADVISORY BOARD BENEFITSWe've been lucky to have an active and supportive Advisory Committee that helps keep our program relevant with a variety of fields out there. They have visited us, facilitated shadow days, worked with us, reviewed portfolios, provided guidance on broadcasts and curriculum. Another example of this support came from Ms. Kris Burnett, former CNN producer now Media Producer for Hospitality Upgrade magazine. Ms. Burnett worked with some AVTF students as director for a multi-cam switched event this past weekend. We learned a ton, from proper preparation before a production, suggested switching techniques, industry vocab, how a director calmly directs a crew (something I aspire to get better at), etc. We'll be hosting Ms. Burnett in the near future. I enjoyed the amount of information the cast was able to get in with that little of time. The crew could of had more time though if the waiting screen did not take so long. I would suggest a shorter beginning screen instead of one that takes up so much time away from the actual show.

I watched Kell High School show, show 11. What I liked about the show is that it always had good audio, allowing us to pay attention better. However one of their segment is so long that I lost interest pretty soon. How can they make it shorter and keep the contents at the same time?

I watched the HOYA Vision03/10/17 and i really liked the inclusion of the tour of the studio and explanation of HOYA Vision. It explains it for the people who don't know much about it and gives more visual information about what each member does. However, the skit in the begin seemed to be out of place and didn't make sense.

I watched the 3.14.17 episode of JCNN by John's Creek High School. As I've previously mentioned about their show, I love the idea of the intro, but I just feel like it is too long and causes viewers to lose focus. After the intro, I really liked the intro to desk. The way that they zoomed in from an angle and then faded to a straight shot made it seem very professional. The transitions to isos that they use also look very clean and professional. One thing that I didn't care for was the student of the week interview. Like the intro, I really liked the idea and was interested to learn about the things that the student did, but I thought the execution seemed very scripted and not genuine. Have you thought about not writing a script for things like that and just having a well thought out conversation?

I watched Kell high school's UnLOADED show 3 on March 3rd. I believe this is their sports segment, but the fact that I wasn't sure says a lot about this episode. I thought the content was pretty funny, but maybe just for an intro or a skit? I would suggest maybe actually talking about the sports teams. I do really respect the host's comedic timing. I think the could possible work on their framing and angles and also work on their content?

I watched the 3-07-17 episode of HSPN. I liked how they included segments about the girl's basketball team and the boys lacrosse team. The people at the desk sounded very enthusiastic about what they were saying which was good. The audio was hard to hear at some points. I watched the 3/16/17 episode of Johns Creek News. They do an excellent job of producing a professional broadcast. They use very good graphics and use of a green screen. They dress professionally and use ISO's to enhance the quality. The only thing I would do better is monitor the audio levels a little better because they seemed to go up and down quite often. I watched the March 6th HarrisonToday episode. I liked the great amount of information that they had, but I believe that the shots of the anchors at the desk could have been centered better. The lower thirds should also have applied to the person behind them so their names would match the person. The audio was good for the most part, but the wind at the end kind of ruined it a little.
