welcome back!I hope everyone was able to enjoy the break with family and friends. I was able to spend some quality time with mine.... everyoneFINAL PROJECTS: We're only 1/3rd of the way through the semester, but it's time to start thinking about our final projects - all of which are weighted at 35% of our final grade! Everyone must prepare a portfolio website. If you've had me before, you need to update your site. I will be accessing the sites from this form: SPRING 2020 PORTFOLIO WEBSITE The form will need to be completed by March 6th. This is a graded activity. Details of what's required on the website can be found here: PORTFOLIO WEBSITE REQUIREMENTS
EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS: This week we'll be looking at the importance of Customer Service in our jobs. HOYAVISION - HSPNHUGE THANKS to everyone's efforts to get 100 subscribers before the end of day on 2/14/20. We are now up to 109 Subscribers. Let's see if we can get 200 by the end of March! This week, Green Crew takes to the studio to produce HARRISON TODAY on Monday and HoyaVision on Friday. HSPN will air on Wednesday. There were some sporting events over the break, so please make sure we touch base with our teams on Monday and complete the HSPN Sports Recap sheet for this week. We should also take a look at our studio lighting and adjust accordingly. Lastly, I'd like to try a test of the remote NDI Spark on Tuesday to see what we can get. AVTF-2 PER. 2This week we'll be taking a more in-depth look at Audition and how to use the many tools for "sweetening" our video audio as well as how to use it to produce audio. Our project for this will be a 5 minute radio/podcast piece, which will be due next week. We will have a vocab quiz about Audition on Friday. Here's the link to the Quizlet Study guide: AUDITION VOCAB STUDY GUIDE AVTF-1 PER. 3This week we'll be looking at basic lighting for video and safety procedures associated with it. Our ability to control the lighting to help guide our audience to what we want them to focus on as well as setting the mood will go a long way to helping to make our videos what people want to watch. We'll also have a LIGHTING VOCAB QUIZ on Friday. Here' s the link to the Quizlet Study Guide: LIGHTING VOCAB STUDY GUIDE AVTF-3 PER 4This week we'll be focusing on following up with our "customers" and what needs to be done for the final copy of the video.
We'll also begin the process of formally preparing for our EOPA which will take place in April. Lastly, I'd like to brainstorm some ideas on how we can help promote the "Beyond the End Zone" event.
