WELCOME BACKI hope you all took some time for some fun with family and friends and relax. I did :-)
EVERYONEIt's hard to believe, but it's time to get cranking with our final projects - if we want to avoid that last minute "procrastination-panic". Level 1 & 2, please take a look at the Music Video and Documentary rubrics, respectively in the right column of the blog page. EVERYONE needs to start taking a look at the Portfolio Website requirements, also on the right column - towards the bottom. MOTION GRAPHICS CLUB MEETS MONDAY AFTER SCHOOL With the upgrade in OS and all the programs re-installed, I look forward to seeing you there to learn and practice with After Effects. HARRISON TODAY - HSPN - HOYAVISIONBlue Crew hits the ground running this week, followed by HSPN. Now that we have the back screens up and running, we need to make sure we have graphics for any story we don't have a video segment. Producers and Directors - please plan accordingly.
AVTF-2 PERIOD 2This week we'll be working through a series of Adobe Tutorials designed to get us familiar with the program, how it works and a taste of what we can do with it in our videos. We'll have a vocab quiz on After Effects basics on Friday. Here's the link to the Quizlet studyguide: AFTER EFFECTS VOCAB STUDYGUIDE AVTF-1 PERIODS 3 & 4This week we'll be working on our PRE-PRODUCTION SKILLS.
We started the semester learning about framing and shot composition - PRODUCTION. We'll be expanding on this area in a couple of weeks. We then learned the basics of editing with Premiere - POST-PRODUCTION. Now, we'll be learning about the third and INTIAL phase of producing videos: PRE-PRODUCTION - the planning. This week we'll be learning about STORYBOARDING and scripts - specifically in depth on SCREENPLAY writing. We'll learn more about broadcast scripts later in the semester. We'll have a vocab quiz on storyboarding and scripts on Friday. Here's the link: STORYBOARDS & SCRIPTS VOCAB STUDYGUIDE LINK There is one wrinkle this week. I am out for 4th period on Monday for a Dr.'s appt., so you'll spend Thursday getting acquainted with the requirements for your final projects and start to research your songs/lyrics on Monday and we'll begin in earnest on Tuesday. You'll watch a brief video on your computers about storyboarding. I'll have a brief set of questions on Tuesday about the video, so please take notes. The link will be on your Class Notebook
