JOURNALISM MEDIA DAY: Will be held this Saturday, October 14th, from 10 - 2 in the main dining hall. Local TV and print journalists will be attending to share their story and offer tips and guidance. Ms. Ellen Eldridge, AJC reporter and president of the Georgia Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, will be presenting a brief seminar on news writing and will hold a news story writing contest during the event.

This week we will continue to work on our audio unit. Now that we are somewhat familiar with the different types of microphones, we'll learn a few ways we can capture good audio.

AFTER EFFECTS BASICS Our next project will encompass a number of standards Demonstrate employability skills required by business and industry. Demonstrate use of multiple types and formats of programs and productions. Perform advanced editing operations. Demonstrate correct operations for studio and field lighting. We will be working in groups of 2 - 4 people and create a 2 - 3 minute short film or mini-documentary. It will include: writing a treatment writing a script proper lighting for field and studio proper audio capture & use editing to include: Chroma Keying Match cut J / L cut Color correction The plan is to give you a look at an entire project that will encompass almost all elements of your final project: 5 - 7 Mini-Documentary.
