ALL: Welcome back everyone! I hope you were able to enjoy the weekend. Special thanks to the Varsity football team for getting it started off right, with a huge win over KMHS! Speaking of the Varsity football game, we took our ESENETWORKS Multi-cam Broadcast kit for a trial run. It was a great learning experience and it has a ton of potential. Thanks to all those Level 1 & 2 students who volunteered to give it a try. I hope you enjoyed the experience and will come out again. HOYAVISION/HARRISON TODAY APPLICANTS:
I have selected the Producers, Associate Producers, and Directors for HoyaVision and HARRISON TODAY. We have begun the interview process and hope to have all the interviews done and most, if not all the auditions completed by the end of this week. Please be sure to check the sidebar for interview/audition guidelines. Know what you're applying for, have an idea of what an IDEAL person in that position would be like, know how you stack up (what you bring to the table and what you would like to work on), and have a question for us! (KEY: DON'T CHEW GUM IN THE INTERVIEW!) AVTF-1: We are starting our Audio Unit, learning about the importance of audio, the different types of microphones - how and when they are used, and how to better edit audio. Throughout the next 2 1/2 weeks, we'll all be learning about the technical and talent roles, with assignments relating to both throughout the unit. To further develop our understanding of what is needed to produce a quality broadcast, a summary of the article: (click on title to read the article) "13 Steps for Creating a Student News Package" The summary should be from 3 - 4 paragraphs, and should be thorough in its coverage. Ideally share it electronically - either as a link to a Google Doc (share with [email protected]) or One Drive (share with [email protected]) or attach as a Word document - sent to [email protected].
