Hello Everyone!
I hope you enjoyed the day off in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King. OneNote Classroom: I'm making progress on the grading of the 6-10 shot videos and proposals. It's easy to see the benefit of the OneNote Classbook. I've had a number of you write your proposal directly on the assignment page in your notebook. I was able to make some observations and suggestions, which enabled you to make the corrections prior to turning it in on Friday - giving you a higher grade. I hope we can get most, if not at all, of you set up on this. Lesson Learned: As you sign up on Office365, you will have your own OneNote where you can set up your own notebooks. For OUR purposes, you will need to log into my Classroom notebook. Here are some links to resources we will be using: CAMCORDER SETTING TIPS JVC / CANON WORKSHEET We will learning the parts and purposes of the camera and tripod. We will have a vocab quiz on Friday. Here's a link to the vocabulary: CAMERA - TRIPOD VOCABULARY Standard 9 requires us to have an understanding of the jobs in the video, broadcasting and film industry. As we proceed through the various units, we will be completing a worksheet on the associated positions. It will have us researching the careers using a couple of websites that I highly recommend you get familiar with: www.bls.gov and www.onetonline.org These two websites will give you invaluable insight into almost any career that you might be interested in. For this unit, we will be investigating the CAMERA OPERATOR CAREER. Here's the link to the worksheet which is due on Friday: CAMERA OPERATOR CAREER WORKSHEET To build on our framing and shot composition skills along with telling a story, here's an article that provides some very helpful guidance on how to keep your audience interested in your video. 5 SHOTS, TEN SECONDS Please write a one paragraph summary of the article.
