EVERYONEIt's hard to believe that we're already in February! Only two more weeks til Winter Break. That said, grades will be due next Friday. Please be sure to turn your assignments in on time. They aren't hard, but do need to be done.
HOYAVISION - HSPNBlue Crew turned in some pretty good shows last week, as did HSPN. Green Crew is up this week, as is HSPN. Please be sure pay attention to the details, read your scripts out loud, use only royalty free music/graphics and look to improve on one key thing from your last show. Here's a challenge for us: Our YouTube channel, where our shows are archived after airing, has 67 subscribers. Let's see if we can get 100 subscribers before Winter Break, next Friday. avtf-2 per 2Our Cables and Connectors instructional video pre-production (outline, storyboard, and two-column script) should be done and in one of the team's Class Notebook for review. This week, we'll be working on filming and recording VO. Remember to write your script and read it out loud. It SOUNDS different than it reads. Use good lighting, use CU & ECU's with shallow depth of field to help your audience focus on what you are talking about. MOST IMPORTANTLY - make sure YOU understand what the cables, connectors and delivery protocols are, what they do, and where they are used. avtf-1 per 3Now that we've learned the basics of Premiere Pro CC and editing, we're going to take it a step further and learn the different types of transitions - how and why they're used and how to do some "in-camera" transitions to help dress up your videos. We'll have a vocab quiz on EDITING, TRANSITIONS, AND CAMERA MOVEMENTS on Friday. Here's the link to the vocab study guide: EDITING, TRANSITIONS, AND CAMERA MOVEMENTS We will also start to look at one of your final projects: MUSIC VIDEO AVTF-3 PER 4This week we should be finalizing our pre-production and proposals for our 2nd videos. Be sure you're very specific with your proposals, especially the SCOPE. You and your "customer" need to be on the same page before you start the filming. There will always be some changes to be made, but they can be minimized with good pre-production, planning and communication.
Anyone with a program/class promo video, your videos need to be done very soon as we'll be signing up for classes within the next couple of weeks.
