EVERYONE
Special Thanks to former HoyaVision student, Nick Erebia, for stopping by on Friday to chat with our AVTF 2-3 class about what he's been able to do at Mississippi State University with his experience from Harrison HS. He also talked about the transition from high school to college. Congratulations on your accomplishments and thanks again for visiting us, Nick.
I also want to thank the dedicated broadcast crew for creating our first "Live to Tape" multi-camera shoot of a Boys LAX game this past Friday. We learned a lot and can definitely build on this experience. Next up, the home baseball game on Tuesday! Dedicated volunteers for set up and camera work are welcome! Please contact me if you're interested. PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO WEBSITE

I watched HARRISON TODAY 04/10/17, I thought the show was great based on talent's tone and flow of the show. I liked how they covered lots of segments about inside of Harrison. One flaw that I think is the lighting in the main desk. It was dark and hard to see talents face. What lighting set up can you use to improve this?

I watched AHS 'The Morning Show' 3/24/17. I was very impressed by the show. Virtual desks were great, had lots of transition and b-roll, great graphics, audio was nice and clear to deliver a story. What I was most Impressed was, at the end of the show they had well produce, planned skit. What can we do to make skit that have gone through proper pre-production?

The mic kept getting hit by something and they were messing up when they were trying to say some things. The weather image appeared late too. As the show went on they overlays started to become more natural in flow and looked better. James segment was well thought out and executed spectacularly with vary detailed information. Well done James

I watched the 4/14/17 episode of Unbelieveabeef. The did a good job covering news around the school. Their segments were creative and funny and they do a good job using the green screen. The only thing they need to do better is to monitor the audio to get a constant level because the show would be really quiet and then jump to really loud in a few seconds. How about using more external microphones so voices are more clear?

I haven't really seen many Hoya visions/ Harrison Todays as my homeroom teacher has probably played about three of them for the duration of the last two years, but the times i have seen them they were heavily affected by our classroom's ability to view them, for instance projector and streaming quality were very poor and the talents were reading from a scripted teleprompter that seemed more like someone else's words than their own being that they sounded very monotone and displayed unfitting expressions. i feel it would greatly improve the show if the talents wrote their own script rather than slowly reading whats on the lunch menu today or what clubs will be meeting, those announcements are usually already made over the "Announcements" that we already hear daily. These defects could be fixed by reinventing the way you put on broadcasts, for instance changing up the techie room or revising the shows format to be more entertaining and interactive, as well as assuring that homerooms can actually watch your show, achieved by making it more accessible and easier to put on for classrooms.
